Ceilidh with 3sticks and Andy Rouse
High energy dancing to fabulous music!
St Barnabas Church - St. Barnabas Church, Saint Barnabas Street, Oxford, United Kingdom
3sticks are highly regarded favourites on the UK ceilidh and festival circuit, with their big, fresh, funky sound. Described by Fiddle On as ‘never less than stunning’, fiddle player Jenny Newman has her routes in the Donegal fiddle tradition and is renowned for her fluid and dexterous playing. Andy Glass plays guitar and bass pedals in his own inimitable fashion to bring an inventive and exciting take to the music, and percussionist Pete Hemsley (who has shared stages with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page among others) adds the finishing touches, with a groove that helps your feet end up in exactly the right places!
Andy Rouse is one of our favourite callers because his enthusiasm, expertise and energy for dancing shines through him. We’re really pleased to see him back at Folk Weekend!
There is a ramp at the main entrance to St Barnabas Church, and inside there is level access throughout. There is a standard disabled toilet available.
