Odette Michell

Odette Michell

A "bold new take" on tradition

The Blue Room, St Aldates Tavern - St Aldate's Tavern, Saint Aldate's, Oxford, United Kingdom

Odette Michell is a British folk singer-songwriter, guitarist, and bouzouki player with a bold new take on the acoustic tradition and a voice capable of demonstrating the finer points of both folk and traditional song with genuine craftsmanship. Her coral style has been described as "warm, intelligent and sitting comfortably amidst folk guitar in a timeless songwriting style" and has been compared to the likes of Sandy Denny and Joni Mitchell.

Things have been moving at something of a pace for Odette ever since she released her 2018 debut EP 'By Way of Night', which garnered high praise and gained Odette her first national and international radio plays on mainstream BBC Radio and folk radio stations.

Ticketing

To purchase tickets for this event please click on ‘Get tickets’ above.

We are offering three ticket types for this event:

- Standard ticket is the ‘normal’ price that we would charge for the event
- Pay a bit more is for those who can afford to, and would like to help support live music and our artists
- Pay a bit less is for those who would find the standard ticket a bit of a stretch, for whatever reason

You can purchase whichever ticket you like; you don’t need to give a reason, and you won’t be asked for any proof of need.

We are trialling this ticket system to help make our events more accessible to more people, and to allow those who would happily pay a bit more to do so easily, helping us to subsidise tickets for those who can’t afford them.
